EDEKA – Neighbourhood development Renatastraße Munich
A modern mixed-use building has been created in a central location in one of Munich's most popular districts. Designed by the quarter and project developers ehret + klein, the residential and commercial building in Renatastrasse in Munich Neuhausen was completed in 2021.
The building complex comprises a floor area of approximately 2,820m² with three and a half storeys and an underground car park. A retail space was created on the ground floor of the building and 17 new flats with high-quality fittings were built on the upper three floors.

The retail space is rented from EDEKA, who were already tenants in the former commercial building. It is not only EDEKA's customers who are pleased about the new building complex. The revitalisation of the Renatastrasse site has created a mixed-use property with a modern supermarket and contemporary living space, which will strengthen Munich's Neuhausen district in the long term.
Due to the busy supermarket routine and the resulting rolling and impact noises, the floor of the supermarket was decoupled with REGUPOL sound impact sound insulation. This measure leads to a symbiosis of good local supply and disturbance-free living above the supermarket and offers the residents the usual peace and quiet even during market operations and delivery traffic.
