Mixed-use building complex Koneser in Warsaw.

Activation of a brownfield

Activation of a brownfield

The Centrum Praskie Koneser is a unique place in the Praga district of Warsaw. It is named after the "Koneser" vodka factory, which produced on the site until 2009. After production ceased, a concept for conversion was developed. Between 2015 and 2018, the entire area was transformed into a cultural centre and revitalised in this way. The project was a great challenge for the architects. New buildings had to be skilfully integrated into the existing old buildings, which of course had to be done in accordance with the requirements for the protection of historical monuments and a great deal of historical knowledge.

To be able to combine the various uses without interference, increased attention was paid to adequate impact sound reduction during the construction period. REGUPOL sound 12, REGUPOL sound 17 and REGUFOAM sound 10 were installed, and REGUPOL vibration 300 was used to decouple the air-conditioning and ventilation units in the technical centres. Today, the cultural centre offers space for living and working, for restaurants and hotels, as well as a museum and a fitness studio. It has thus developed into a meeting place for people from Warsaw and visitors to the city.
